After a crazy/stressful/terrible work week, yesterday was a Sunday that I desperately needed. Sunny, warm and clear...pretty stunning if you ask me. Even better: perfect patio weather. It is impossible to feel stressed or unhappy while listening to early 90s jams while sitting on a patio eating seafood, drinking bloody Mary's and getting vitamin D for the first time in months. Impossible.
lighten up while you still can.

Wedding progress
We have made so much wedding-related progress lately! We completed all three of our registries (Belk, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Williams-Sonoma). I also picked out a bridesmaids dress at J. Crew and everyone was able to order it with 20% off from the wedding sale! I still have a few things I need to work on as soon as possible:
-Getting rehearsal dinner booked (we have done a little research on that)
-Finding an organist for the ceremony
-Picking out menus
-Picking out songs for the reception
-Finding decor ideas for the reception
All these seem easy compared to what I've done so far :) We are having our engagment photos taken next Friday, and I still need to figure out an outift (or 2) for that. We also need to nail down the locations. I have one in mind that I want, but we are able to have up to 3. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Aside from the wedding, i've been living, eating and breathing work. It stinks, but I'm on the brink of finishing something huge! That feels fantastic.
Hope you all had great weekends. It was a beautiful one in Atlanta. xoxo

Life lately
De-cluttering and making huge hauls to Goodwill and consignment to make room for when my other half moves in, lunch at my favorite local Mexican restaurant, picking out bridesmaid dresses at J Crew (!), and playing tourist in Atlanta at CNN Center & seeing a Hawks game.
Judging from these pictures, you'd never know I've been buried under work/wedding planning and stressed to the max! Life, calm down a little please?!

Registry problems
John and I cannot seem to agree on a flatware for our registry. I have found that I am surprisingly picky, and so is John. This is unfortunate when it comes to decision making! Here are a few options that we like. Thoughts and opinions are welcome!

Happy Weekend, Friends
So, I've gotten back into my old habit of only posting on Fridays and going weeks at a time without any posting at all. I'm sorry! I know work is a lame excuse, but its the only one I've got. That, and wedding planning, my other full time job. So, between my two full time jobs, blogginghas taken a back seat.
I am happy to report that the wedding to do list has been shrinking. I got so. much. done. last weekend when I was in Raleigh and it was exhausting and glorious. More to come on all of that, but I will say I think a lot of the big ticket/harder/more boring things have been taken care of, and there is a lot of the fun to come (did someone say picking out cake and food...yes please!). I can't wait to share with everyone all the pretties I've picked out too :) Like I said, exhausting, but fun.
I hope you all have fantastic weekends. I have no big plans, except a trip to the outlet mall with a friend tonight, and a massage tomorrow morning that is about 2 months overdue. I need it so badly, its not even funny. So I am really looking forward to both of those things! I hopr y'all have something to look forward to also :)

TGIF
Happy weekend, friends! This week went by pretty quickly, even though I usually think work weeks containing a holiday seem to last longer than normal. I'm pretty excited for this weekend. I've got dinner plans tonight with a couple of WF girlfriends who live in Atlanta, and who I haven't seen in longer than I'd like to admit. Really looking forward to that. Als excited about going to my first, and probably only, basketball game of the year! The mighty Demon Deacons are playing here at Georgia Tech tomorrow, and we are going to check out the new Tech basketball coliseum. We will be a house divided, and I fully intend on wearing as much WF gear as possible. Is my old school Eric Williams jersey circa 2005 too much? I didn't think so either.
For the first time in weeks, I'm actually starting a Friday not feeling worn out and exhausted, but rather like I've accomplished a lot this week, and I feel invigorated! What a great feeling. It has a lot to do with forcing myself to be productive at work and with wedding stuff, and its just been a good week otherwise.
I hope y'all are feeling the same! xoxo

Wedding To-Dos
I finally feel like I've gotten over a big hump of productivity. I have made so many calls in the last couple of weeks, but I do feel like I've got something to show for it. So far, these are the wedding-related things I've already taken care of:
-Set a date
-Booked ceremony venue
-Booked reception venue
-Found an engagement/bridal portrait photographer in Atlanta
-Found a DJ
-Found a potential NC photographer
-Set up an appt to meet with a florist
-BOUGHT A DRESS!
-Picked wedding party
-Set up an appt with a cake baker
-Ordered invitations
Next on the list:
-Book the DJ, florist, photographer and baker
-Find bridesmaids dresses
-Order save the dates
-Have engagement photos taken
-Research rehearsal dinner locations
Wedding planning is a full time job, I swear. But at least its fun! Staying within budget is a constant struggle, but luckily I am financially-minded and organized. I have no idea how anyone would stay on budget if they weren't. My wedding notebook and Knot app on my iPhone are quickly becoming my best friends. There is so, so much more to do, but I feel great having a few of the big ticket items behind me. So excited for my big day--it'll be here so soon!
