Kristin's Visit

KStew came to visit a few weekends ago, and we had an awesome time! We mostly shopped, ate, walked around Piedmont Park and went on the Red Brick Brewery tour (thanks Groupon!) on Saturday afternoon. Enjoy the fabulous photos:

Progress?

Happy half birthday to me! Half birthdays are definitely not nearly as much fun at they were when I was little...now I'm not as excited as I once was about getting older. 24.5 is much less cooler than 12.5, right?

I made some (sort of) progress on the condo situation. I've finally got an appointment with my realtor for Saturday to look at my current condo again (its been since November...), and to see new places to! Even though this is really kind of a step backwards, I'm looking forward to shopping again--thats the most fun part. And if I find something I love even more than my current offer place, then maybe I'll pull the trigger on that and actually get to move sometime in the near future! Updates to come.

Otherwise, the pollen is killing me and I am so excited tomorrow is Friday. Its not my day off, but i'm hoping to skip out a little early and get a quick trip to Lenox in to return a couple of items (putting $150 back in my bank account is always a good thing). This weekend I'm hoping to get dinner with a friend and maybe visit a new designer consignment shop I found online--big plans! I hope y'all are having a great week so far :)

Dreaming of vacation...

I just checked delta.com today to see if my London flight was there, and it was! And it told me that I depart in only 66 days! How crazy is that? I can't wait. I know Mom and I will have the best time when we go. And just to be extra-selfish as far as vacays go, I've been feeling the need to go somewhere sunny too. I'm (hopefully) going to Amelia Island in June, but thats far away! Someone please teleport me to a beach asap.

There hasn't been much going on in my non-exciting life this week. Just work, and being lazy after work with a little Just Dance thrown in for good measure. Tonight I'm going out for Mexcian food with my coworker, and I'm pretty excited for it. But still crossing my fingers that i'll have lost another pound this week (?), we'll see.

Beware the Ides of March!

All my fellow Latin nerds out there, let's not forget that today is the infamous day of Julius Caesar's assasination. I'm wearing a little black to the office today...yes, I'm a geek.

Otherwise, Its a pretty normal, rainy Tuesday in Atlanta. I want to take a nap so badly, but must stay awake to actually get some things done. Redeeming factor: 80 degree forecast for the weekend! I cannot wait.

Good Times

I had a most fabulous weekend with Kristin! We shopped (too much), ate lots (cooked at home, Mexican food, and K experienced the Flying Biscuit for the first time....mmm), went to a brewery and did some day drinking, went to a club and did some night drinking (and dancing!) and had an all around good time. I love that girl and wish I got to see her more often! I'm pretty happy she chose to spend her spring break with me.

The shopping we did was really successful too: I finally broke down and bought black Tory Burch flats--expensive, but a good investment. I wore tham to work today, and can tell they'll be in heavy rotation from now on. I also got some skinny black pants for work and vacation. Very exciting! I like being back in the shopping world, but have to admit I was saving a lot more money during no-shop February. Everything in moderation!

I hope y'all had great weekends too. I'm not excited about being back at work this Monday, especially after springing forward, but at least its another 4 days week for me! Fingers crossed for some (ANY) condo info this week. Please think good thoughts for me!!

Heists have always fascinated me, so I especially enjoyed this article and all the info inside. I'm also reading a book right now about the 1911 art theft of the Mona Lisa. Interesting stuff!

Frustrated

I'm feeling pretty anxious and frustrated about the condo purchase these days. I hadn't been thinking about it/worrying about it for a while now (worrying never makes anything better, as we all know), but now we've officially hit the 90 day mark since I made my agreement with the seller. Ugh, its just taking so much long than expected, and I know nothing about the process and why its taking so long. Please keep me in your thoughts and cross all your fingers and toes for me! I'm so ready to hear some good news and finally move!

In other news, Kristin is coming today!!! I feel so excited I can barely contain myself at work. I can't wait to get out of here early and meet her once she arrives from the airport. Spending time with best friends is the best. Hopefully we'll find something fun to occupy ourselves this weekend. Even if we don't, the great thing about old friends is that you can still have the greatest time, and not even really be doing any particular activity. Love. I am thinking we'll do some shopping, we may go on a brewery tour, go out dancing somewhere and eat lots of good food. I'm also excited for her to finally meet John. So excited for the next 3 days!

Happy 500th post to me!

Here's what's been going on in sunny Florida:

-I have not been getting tan (sadly).
-I've been eating sherbet almost every day (curse you, office with free orange push-ups; but they're only 2 points each!)
-I've been doing ok with my eating. Not stellar, but absolutely better than a normal travel week for me.
-Still haven't shopped! No-shop February was completed successfully on Monday, and I haven't been anywhere during the week to start feeding the habit again. Outlet trip tomorrow before we fly home? Yes, please.
-Went to the famous Ron Jon surf shop last night and drank too many daquiris at the hotel bar.
-Walked on the beach 3 times so far!
-Ate a delicious seafood feast, and I didn't even order it deep fried. Progress!

I hope you all have been having as much fun as me :) AND I remembered just 2 days ago that my bff KStew is coming to visit next weekend. How lucky am I?!
