It's been a slow week in terms of exciting things to write about. I had dinner with my bff the other night, which was fantastic. And it turns out that i'll get to see her one more time in the early fall before she leaves for good, so no awkward, sad goodbyes for now! Today is my half day at my day job, and after I leave I think i'm going to do a little window shopping around Raleigh. Tonight there's a free outdoor jazz concert at the mall. They always have spectacular drawings for really good prizes, so of course, I will be there tonight.

ven if its music that I don't particularly listen to anyway. This summer kicked off with the Kanye West show, with Rhianna, NERD and Lupe Fiasco. It was unbelievable to say the least. I adore Kanye West (even if he is a big asshole in real life), and he didn't disappoint. The show was really spectacular, and my view from the 3rd row was pretty hard to beat. I saw a video of P. Diddy/Diddy/Puffy on tv a few weeks ago talking about how seeing that show had made him "fall back in love with hiphop," and I totally see how thats true. And, I touched Pharrell when he came into the audience, so it was phenomenal:)
One of the best things about summer in Raleigh is all the free live music. In the past few weeks I've been to 3 beach music shows (SO much fun) complete with shag dancing and fantastic preppy people watching opportunities. I can never go to any of these places without seeing at least a few people I went to high school with. Tonight's jazz show will be a little more laid back, which I think will be a good way to end this crazy week. Maybe I'll win something fabulous! Otherwise the weekend will be spent bargain hunting at the flea market with one of my faves, and hopefully catching a little sun. Happy weekend!
