Cleaning binge continues

As I've mentioned in a few posts lately, I've been on a a little clean-out frenzy. I tackled the pantry (sort of), my closet (halfway) and my bookcase (a little). Ok, so maybe I've only been half-cleaning everything. Its been theraputic and definitely a good thing to do before I move. If I ever get to move....but that's for a different day.

I'm thinking of investing in some cute storage for various items I've got. I bought a very cute set of colorful boxes about a year ago at Homegoods, and they have worked wonders for the top of my closet. All my scarves/hats/gloves are in one, evening clutches/small bags in another, and I still have one free. This time I'm thinking of some pretty cloth bins for t-shirts, etc. That would look much prettier than the classic college 3-drawer plastic thing I've got going on now.

I planned to to some organizing last night, but felt terrible when I left work. I ate chicken noodle soup and took an hour and a half nap around 6:30 pm and was miraculously cured! Never underestimate a nice rainy day nap right when you get home from work. It may throw off your sleep schedule later that night, but oh so worth it. In other news, I think I'm going to give no-shop February another try. January did not work out between all the fabulous sales and the wonderful bonus I got at work for passing that nasty exam (yay!). I think I'll give February a good try though--last time I had a no-shop month I really enjoyed it. Its like a good little shock to the system as far as being obsessed with buying clothes and shoes, and spending my free time going to malls and stores. Added benefit: less clutter and extra money in the bank account! We'll see how it goes this time around!
