RIP Blanche

Rue McClanahan died today at the age of 76. I am beside myself with grief! I adore the Golden Girls, and grew up watching Blanche, Rose, Dorothy and Sophia on tv. I definitely consider them the precursor to Sex and the City, only funnier. The fact that Dixie Carter (Julia Sugarbaker of Designing Women) just passed away a few weeks ago makes this even worse! Julia and Blanche will always be my childhood heroes and two classic Southern women to look up to. She'll be missed!
