The Royal Wedding

Since I have been looking forward to this day forever, its only right that I post some thoughts and pictures to the blog :)

All photos from people.com

The dress: I thought Kate was stunning. The dress was totally her, and for a dress that required sleeves, I thought it was a perfect fit. I have to admit, I was a little underwhelmed by it at first glance because it was a little too plain for what I was expecting. I still would've liked a little longer train and maybe a little fuller skirt and a little bit of sparkle on the top for the cameras would've been nice too :) But after seeing pictures in print, I realized the bottom had the most beautiful matching lace, and that made me like it even more. My only major complaints were the limp veil (not my style) and the tiny bouquet! Otherwise, perfection. I would kill to have that hair (and tiara, of course). I also loved the sparkle belted after party dress!

The ceremony: Perfect. Not too long or too boring, and it really did seem somehow personal even though the whole world was watching on tv. I love the music especially, and how William and Kate sat on chairs to listen to the music and prayers. Very sweet.

The fashion: The hats were fabulous for the most part. With the HUGE exception of Princess Beatrice who looked like a Disney character with a cardboard hat. Everyone in the families looked great, especially Pippa of course, and Kate's mom Carole. I also enjoyed wearing my fascinator (hat) and royal ring during the big day (while also drinking tea and eating scones, it was fabulous).
